The inside threads are threaded completely through every threaded bung for max holding strength. You don't need to worry about threads not holding, each tubing adapter is machined from 1018 steel.

Each threaded bung has a sizable weld chamfer and also a lead chamfer for ease of welding in your tubing. This tubing adapter has 3/8-24 threads thru. *Tip* When welding, you can overheat the tubing adapter and your bolt will not fit in correctly.

Make sure welder is set to the correct settings. Too much heat can warp threads.
